Silicon Valley Clean Water

See Where Innovation Meets Environmental Stewardship
Tour our 45-acre Redwood Shores facility and discover how Silicon Valley Clean Water transforms wastewater into clean water and renewable energy — protecting the Bay for 300,000 Peninsula neighbors.
For 50 years, Silicon Valley Clean Water has operated 24/7 at our Redwood Shores facility, treating wastewater to the highest environmental standards before safely discharging it to the San Francisco Bay. But most people never see the remarkable work happening here — or the innovation driving it. Our facility tours make the invisible visible.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

Walk through the complete journey from wastewater to clean water, and see how we turn what others call waste into valuable resources:

From Food Waste to Energy

See our anaerobic digesters in action — the only ones on the Peninsula accepting food waste for co-digestion. Watch how organic material transforms into methane that generates 70% of our facility’s electricity, advancing our goal of energy neutrality.
